This is the second time I've read this book, and indeed, just finished it an hour ago. (I won't be giving any spoilers in this review).
After completing this book, I honestly aspire to Joe Hill's level of craftsmanship. The story and writing were tight and the suspense was unrelenting. There was never a point where the story bogged down or felt contrived. This was honestly one of the eeriest and best books I've read in a long time.
Now, all that being said, this book is not for the faint of heart. There are some themes, scenes, and events that are a bit "off the beaten path." If you, as a reader, are accustomed to PG-13 reading fare, then this may not be the book for you.
Next up, I'll be reading his collection of short stories, which I've already read, but I love Joe Hill's writing, and it will be a pleasure to reread:
His website, by the way, is: www.joehillfiction.com
